9.00am Excited children gather on the mat. The day has finally arrived. SWIMMING SPORTS!
Most of the class were due to go to the Parnell Baths for a fun swim but sadly, mother nature had other plans and opened the heavens onto our heads! So room 11 stayed at school and had a fun day with Mr Edgerley and other teachers instead.
Meanwhile, Rici, Oliver, Alex and Mr Miller joined the other competitive swimmers and went to Cameron Pools. The atmosphere was very exciting and we tried our hardest! In the 25m backstroke Oliver came 2nd and Alex came 3rd. In the 25m freestyle and the year3/4 butterfly Rici (who competed in every event she could) finished 3rd. Well done to you all!
We had such fun at the pool the kids were all very supportive of each other and showed good sportsmanship, more of you should come next time!
