20,000 leagues under the sea

Today pretended to go on a voyage to the bottom of the ocean.  We were impressed that James Cameron dived 11Km into the Mariana Trench to the deepest place on Earth, 'Challenger Deep'

This morning we wrote funny radio conversations between a submarine and a boat.  You can listen to Calle and Morgan and also to Rici and Cameron.

This afternoon we also learned that in 1960 Don Walsh was the first person to reach the bottom of the ocean.

We also learned what 'Bioluminescent  Invertebrates' are!  Ask us and prepare to be impressed!

  1. Haahaa hilarious stories guys. We were totally impressed with the bioluminescent invertebrates!! I wonder what they look like? Oliver says they have no backbone and they glow in the dark.. woah! Interesting.
Imagine being attacked by one? says Oliver... I wonder how big they are? Can I be swallowed by one? ... Yikes!
